CIEEM Bat Training Online, one of participants
'Online training can be really unengaging and feel like too much time spent looking at a screen. I was impressed that this training was engaging and held my attention for the whole time. It was great to break things up with group work. Katie was an excellent, knowledgeable, approachable trainer. I would definitely be keen to attend training delivered by her again!'
Ken Roberts, Executive Director of Resources, Bournemouth & Poole College
'I have been impressed by the specialist ecological advice that KP Ecology has provided to Bournemouth and Poole College over a number of years. The wealth of knowledge provided by Katie, in a timely and professional manor, has been greatly appreciated. I have no hesitation of recommending KP Ecology to anybody seeking ecological advice.'
Jonathan Pittard, Chartered Architect, J. Pittard Ltd
'Katie has frequently been an invaluable member of the Design Team. Due to her swift and efficient attention to detail, ecological constraints have been addressed early in the design process, overcoming the need for delays on site. She is pragmatic in finding ways to accommodate biodiversity features on site, helping to keep site costs down and site works on programme.'
Mike Morris, Senior Property Manager, BCP Councils
'I have been impressed by the service delivered by KP Ecology. Work is undertaken in a timely manner with the minimum amount of disruption to our clients. A great service and always good value for money.'
Maurice Stainer, Maurice Stainer & Associates
'KP Ecology has provided specialist ecological advice to my Company and Clients for several years. Katie’s wealth of knowledge in both the public and private sectors and network of contacts has proved to be of great advantage when dealing with Local Planning Authorities. She is professionally well respected, which adds gravitas to the appraisals and proposals that are put forward, and this can be crucial to success in the development process. KP Ecology provides a professional, efficient and competitive service at all times, are a delight to deal with, and I have no hesitation in recommending them to Clients and fellow professionals.'
Jo Hibbert, Conservation Director, Levitate
'Katie delights in finding bats present on site, and her enthusiasm for what has been found is infectious. However, she has a keen recognition that the enthusiasm of a building’s owner wanes when the consequences of bats are realised. Thus, she works hard to ensure that proposals for the safeguarding of the bats work hand in glove with the aspirations of the owner of the building. This does require give and take on both sides; Katie will liaise closely with architects and owners to determine the best solution for all, offering availability for site visits (often at the last minute) and always responding to queries from those undertaking work. I have full confidence in her decisions and ability, which makes it easy for me to recommend her for involvement in all our projects requiring ecological advice that sits within her catchment area.'
